BEST RESTAURANTS IN MIKULOV, from most to least pricey

Essens

Ryzlink restaurant

Šílová restaurant

Although not directly in Mikulov, Essens is the finest dining experience you can get in South Moravia. Settled in the beautiful Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec, just a few miles from Mikulov, the chef's degustation menu - always thoughtfully paired with wines or non-alcoholic drinks, matches its genius loci. Don't forget to book this experience in advance.

Šílová restaurant

Ryzlink restaurant

Šílová restaurant

It is one of the best restaurants in the Mikulov area, offering great food and wine in a very airy interior setting and terrace with views of the Holy Hill. The restaurant is a part of Šílová winery, so the wide selection of their good wines is a must. The prices run higher than in other places, but the food will not disappoint.

Crop

Ryzlink restaurant

Ryzlink restaurant

Part of Hotel Volarik, this restaurant promises an interesting venue with high-end food, drinks, and services. The chef enjoys wild combinations of natural flavors and most dishes will surprise you with wild taste. What stands out though are their cocktails.

The best terrace with the best views and atmosphere. Whether you travel with a group of friends or with your family, you will enjoy both the international cuisine and the place. A large playground is easily visible from the restaurant yet still far enough not to disturb the chill vibe. You can also just grab your glass of wine and sip while hanging in one of the hammocks.

Marcel Ihnačák (Hotel Templ)

Mr. Ihnačák is a well-renowned chef who decided to take his career from national TV shows to this small little town and cook locally, yet still with international quality. The restaurant is hidden on one of the side streets of Old Jewish Mikulov and provides a cozy and quiet ambiance year-round.

LOCALS' FAVORITE

This is probably your best bet for a lunch menu or any time throughout the day if you want to grab something good while exploring Mikulov's main square. Yes, even for breakfast. Reasonably priced international cuisine, quick and friendly service, and great wine.

Korek

Marcel Ihnačák (Hotel Templ)

Pedro's Streetfood Bistro

While Korek restaurant is mostly associated with great wines from the family wineries of "Dunajovske Kopce", their traditional Moravian cuisine with a modern twist is equally as good.

BEST BURGERS in Moravia and more. Not kidding. A must-try if you are into satisfying street food with hipster vibes.

KUK Bistro

KUK Bistro

KUK Bistro

One of the best places for breakfast and brunch in the region. People rave about the food as well as the staff and the general vibe. Kuk has that "je ne sais quoi" that attracts people and keeps them happy. A must try for a quick lunch or a coffee on a terrace.

Popie's

KUK Bistro

KUK Bistro

Recently relocated to offer a nice terrace, this place is focused on your great BRUNCH experience. A nice, thoughtfully prepared menu of breakfast choices can be paired with a great cup of tea or coffee, or, even better, with a cocktail drink to lift your spirits.

Tanzberg

KUK Bistro

Veggiedick

One of those places where you just feel well. Offering a simple mix of local, Jewish and international cuisine, this place will satisfy various tastes and expectations. Great wine is a must in this region, but if you want to have Pilsner beer with your dinner, this might be just the right place for you.

One of the secrets of Hotel Galant is that it makes its beer. It is served, among other great drinks, in this pub-style restaurant which offers probably the widest menu selection in the whole town. They even make pizza several days a week. This is a great place for large groups.

Golem Pub

LOCALS FAVORITE. Everybody comes here for the legendary Pilsner beer. The place is rather cozy and can get packed on Fridays, but when you are lucky to get seated, you can even have a delicious quick meal with your beer. The combination is worth a try, especially after dark.

Bug n' Brew

Galant restaurant and brewery

Bug n' Brew

Bug n Brew is a hyperlocal spot that is very easy to miss unless you have seen someone rave about it on the internet. The young brewer runs this pub for locals and they could not be happier. He even makes delicious burgers, langos, or pizzas for them himself. A music band featuring some of the local music teachers plays here almost every Thursday for fun.

O'Hara

Galant restaurant and brewery

Bug n' Brew

An Irish pub-style restaurant where the beer and the bar play the main role. The restaurant belongs to the renowned Marcel Ihnačák group of restaurants, the food is therefore steadily great. The menu has recently been leaning towards more traditional dishes and it seems to have been a good move.
